Extensive Background, Wealth of Experience

About the Founder

PDC’s Founder, Craig LaPierre, with an extensive background in machine trades and engineering, after six years serving in the U.S. Army NG as an Air Traffic Controller, Craig began his die casting career. Joining Techmire, the world leader in the manufacture of multi-slide die casting equipment, in the 1980s, he was privileged to gain invaluable experience.

With a wealth of experience as a Dynacast Production Manager, Craig was responsible for producing $250,000,000 in multi-slide die castings per year and helped develop ACUZinc5, a proprietary General Motors alloy.

In 2001, Craig founded Precision Die Cast, Inc., in Clinton Township, MI, and the company has continued to grow through booms and recessions.

At the heart of expert die casting, what makes the critical difference is two aspects of the business. First, knowing the intricacies of the machines to obtain the finest results. Second, having a depth of working knowledge about the combination of alloys to guide customers to the appropriate solution for their application.

Through a lifetime of hands-on experience, strong leadership, and business development, Craig enjoys providing outstanding service to his customers.
