Unique, Full-Service Capabilities
Minimizing Your Supply Base with Our

In-Depth Technical Experience

While our roots lie in the multi-slide die casting process, we are also strong in the manufacture of larger components utilizing conventional hot chamber die casting methods. This unique full-service capability allows customers to leverage their global sourcing while minimizing their supply base.

The in-depth technical experience of Precision Die Cast’s designers and toolmakers gives our components their accuracy and fast, long-running ability, especially in dimensionally critical applications.

We supply leading companies in telecommunications, computing, consumer electronics, industrial and automotive sectors as well as a wide range of other industries.

Casting

The die casting process is accomplished by injecting molten metal (zinc) into a hardened steel die, also referred to as a mold or tool, under high pressure.

Precision Die Cast specializes in producing high-volume miniature to medium-sized zinc die cast components up to 1 pound.  Most components are cast net shape with no secondary trimming or machining.  We cast all zinc alloys 2, 3, 5, 7, ZA8, and are one of approximately five die casters in the United States to cast General Motors’ proprietary zinc alloy AcuZinc.

02.

Plating

One of the advantages of using zinc is that it can be coated in so many ways. We are a full-service provider of all secondary operations, including machining and coating services such as hexavalent/trivalent chromate, chrome, nickel, brass, tin, copper, silver, and powder coat painting.

03.

Assembly

Let PDC handle your assembly. We do it right the first time, which means our product will last and function as required. Let us review your project needs.

04.

Prototyping

We can provide prototype components manufactured to the exact specifications and characteristics of production parts.

The dies we use can mimic production processes for prototype parts, providing our customers with a production-level part from tool design to tool completion.

With an average of 6-8 weeks lead time, The dies used mimic the production process enabling us to provide our customer with a production-level part during the interval from tool design to tool completion.

Multi-Slide Die Casting

Our multi-slide die casting is a fast, cost-effective manufacturing process, producing net-shaped metal components with outstanding tight tolerances.

The die casting process is accomplished by injecting molten metal (zinc) into a hardened steel die, also called a mold or tool, under high pressure.  The metal typically solidifies in milliseconds and is then ejected automatically from the die.  A typical die will produce hundreds of thousands to millions of components before requiring replacement.

Miniature Die Casting

Miniature die casting produces small parts with complex shapes or intricate details, that are difficult to achieve with other manufacturing processes. Experience and properly maintained equipment in miniature die casting produces highly accurate pieces with tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes.  Miniature die casting is ideal for applications where precision is critical.

Industry-Leading Casting Machines

PDC’s investment in die casting equipment includes industry-leading TECHMIRE models 22, 44, and 66, and FRECH casting machines. We can produce parts up to 5 pounds, running cycles capable of exceeding 30 per minute.

As specialists in die casting high-quality zinc components, you’ll be confident that your order meets your specifications.

On-Time Completion

Utilizing proprietary and reliable multi-slide casting processes and lean manufacturing techniques, Precision Die Cast consistently meets 95% uptime efficiency.  This translates to castings that are on time, every time, and can meet tolerances of one-thousandth of an inch, with no trimming and, in most cases, no machining required.

Precise Execution

Efficiency in our high-speed die casting process delivers a clean-finished product to your floor. We analyze CAD files and collaborate with you to improve your product design for castability, strength, and material selection. Going this extra mile reduces secondary operations and processes for a superior result.

Experience

The growing PDC team has over 50 years of combined experience, specializing in high-volume and low-volume zinc diecasting.
